Large Motorcycle is sure to exceed 10,000 km.

Replaced by OEMTire in February 2021.

At the time, I was using a Motorcycle for commuting with Corona support, so I chose Road5, which had a good reputation among Touring tires.

I used it for commuting to work and then changed its purpose from commuting to hobby use. I used it for riding on the mountain passes in my neighborhood, riding around town to the leather goods store, and taking a day trip of about 400 km once a month.

It is currently sold together with Road6.

Road5:Touring sports (Touring capable SportsTire)
Road6:Sports touring (Sports capable Touring tire)

I have never used Road6, so I don't know, but Road5 has enough grip to make me think that if you drive at a comfortable pace on public roads, you don't need a sport or high grip tire. Road5 is a very easy to use tire with sufficient grip and comfort of a touring tire.

At 9700km, the Front was decreasing in such a way that the SlipSign would soon appear, so it was decided to replace it with another Tire along with the Front, but it will certainly have a Life of more than 10,000km.

I was able to drive on the highway without anxiety.

The design of the Tread surface may not be to your liking.
I'm more of a hater (laughs).

By the way, I don't run in the rain, so I don't know much about wet performance.

If you are not using Circuit and want to enjoy Winding while caring about Life, Road5 is recommended.

As for Life, were my expectations too high?

Replaced by OEMTire in February 2021.

At the time, I was using a Motorcycle for commuting with Corona support, so I chose Road5, which had a good reputation among Touring tires.

I used it for commuting to work and then changed its purpose from commuting to hobby use. I used it for riding on the mountain passes in my neighborhood, riding around town to the leather goods store, and taking a day trip of about 400 km once a month.

OEMTire (Dunlop Road sports2) showed SlipSign at 9000km, but Road5 is close to SlipSign at 9700km.

I wonder if the SlipSign will appear after about 10,000 km. I was wondering if my expectations for touring tires were too high, or if they would last a little longer.

But considering that you can play Winding with a Grip as good as SportsTire, it's probably a good thing.

Well, I don't think there are many people who use Road5 in Mountain Pass Main (laughs).

If you were a simple long-distance tourer, Life might be a little longer.

By the way, I don't run in the rain, so I don't know much about wet performance.
If you are not using Circuit and want to enjoy Winding while caring about Life, Road5 is recommended.

A reliable all-purpose tire

Currently 8000km used.
From the remaining grooves, I expect that another 2,000 km will be tough.
Compared to other AdventureTires, it is normal to short in terms of life.

Replacing the Dunlop TrailSMART.
The Life here was short, about 8000km.
When I changed shoes, I wanted to upgrade the level of Dry grip.
In this respect, it was good.
In comparison, when I fully bank and apply traction, the slide out is softer.
However, I think the limit itself was a little higher for the BS A40.

This is my impression after switching to this tire for both front and rear.
(F also replaced at R5000km).
The handling is moist, and the lightness is inferior to A40 and TrailSMART.
That gives me the impression that it is safe.
I don't feel uneasy even if I leave the brakes on when entering a corner.
Neutral to stable, with few breaks.

There is little temperature dependence and no anxiety in the rain.
Wet grip may be better than any tire I have experienced on this motorcycle.
The pattern of the grooves made me wonder about the drainage. I was wondering if the grooves that look like large holes are working?
I have the impression that the grip performance is constant in both cold and hot weather.

I was expecting a little more durability, but since the replacement time was Gap before and after, I think I'll replace the Rear with another one.
The front will probably last 12,000-1300 km. The front will probably last 12,000 to 13,000 km, so I think it will wear out at a ratio of one front to two rear.

This tire has the grip performance to withstand sports driving, which most users of this type of vehicle will not do, and the low temperature dependency and wet performance that most users will demand.

High straight-line stability

In comparison to the tires I've worn in the past, this is the number one tire in terms of straight-line stability.
Unlike BS, Handlebar doesn't get out of control at high speed, which is pretty cool.
It's more stable and comfortable than the T32, Soft, and on the other hand, Dry Winding is OK for slow driving but not so good for quick driving.
However, depending on the setting, it can be run at about the same intervals as the T32. Overall, it's a good tire for everyone. It's perfect for cold winters.

◇Dry grip
ROAD5The Grip is definitely the lowest of the comparative tires, and the ROAD5 is the first one to slip frequently on the 4th gear rise.
◇Wet grip
TS100 < T32 = S22? < ROAD5
I'm just strong in Wet and can run without worry.
◇Ground feeling
TS100<ROAD5<T32<<<S22
I can feel the large size of the contact area due to the softness, but it is not as high as the T32.
◇Handling (as in turning power?)
TS100<ROAD5<T32<<<S22
It doesn't pull you along like the S22, but it's not bad either.
◇Handling (nimbleness)
ROAD5<T32<S22<TS100
It has a soft feel, so it's adequate, but it doesn't give a bad impression. Rather, it is just right for city touring.
