This is my favorite clutch cover for the Monkey / Grom / MSX, of course you can get it with a dry clutch etc but in this configuration its really good value. It's best when pared with the optional thermostat so you dont over cool the oil. I've personally purchased two of these on different occasions and always recomend them to people. I perfer this one over the Kitaco version as it offers the thermostat. I think these and a good tune are the key to a reliable long lasting bigbore setup.

■Oil thru-nut
By installing it, you can save a lot of weight!!!
Centrifugal oil filter approx.1069g → Oil through nut approx.123g
You can remove the stock centrifugal oil filter which puts a burden on the crankshaft by replacing it with the attached oil through nut.
This allows the crankshaft weight to be reduced from approximately 1069g to approximately 123g, resulting in a significant weight reduction.
Also, the engine response will be improved by reducing the load on the crankshaft.
By installing the oil through nut, the oil line leads to the crankshaft.
Because it passes through the oil element, clean oil always flows to the crankshaft.

Thermostat installation part and oil line structure When the oil cooler kit (specification to take oil from the special clutch cover) is installed, overcooling can be prevented by installing the optional thermostat unit.
■New mechanism
A new mechanism that allows the oil line to flow to the cylinder head side to be changed via the oil element is adopted.
By installing the oil line hose kit (sold separately), oil flowing to the head side can also pass through the oil element.This prevents engine damage caused by oil sludge.
To install the oil line hose, it is necessary to use the oil outlet boss to the oil cooler on the SP Takegawa big bore cylinder (with oil outlet boss).
It cannot be installed to the big bore cylinder without oil extraction boss on SP Takekawa's e stage.

By installing the breather cap, you can connect the return hose when you install SP Takegawa's oil catch tank kit.

By installing the oil line hose kit, the oil flowing to the head side can also pass through the oil element.

To install the oil line hose, it is necessary to use the oil outlet boss to the oil cooler on the SP Takegawa big bore cylinder (except e stage).

Required for use of an oil cooler on my Monkey 143cc
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the special clutch cover kit from SP Takegawa. Just about everything on the clutch cover is made from aluminium, cast, CNC machined or forged and all in silver finishes.About the feeling of use: This sure is one part that offers a lot of features and for me the primary reason for purchasing it was to have the ability to add an oil cooler for my 143cc big bore kit. This clutch cover just looks sensational on the Monkey too.Products to buy together: An oil cooler kit from SP Takegawa specific for the Monkey would also be desirable to purchase alongside the special clutch cover kit as it will be an easy install with the correct fittings and mounts needed.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about one hour. Release the right rearset and remove the OEM Honda clutch cover and oil spinner. You can then start installing the SP Takegawa internal engine parts and fit the special clutch cover. The clutch cable also needs to be replaced and adjusted to complete the installation. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting an extremely high quality product that comes with everything you need but at a higher price when as compared to the clutch cover available from Kitaco.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently this service is unavailable from Japan Post, EMS is much faster which is nice. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: If you are intending on installing an up style exhaust system with this special clutch cover you will want to do a little research to see if it has been done by someone before as the SP Takegawa special clutch cover is larger around the oil filter area then the OEM Honda clutch cover and this could become problem.

The machined aluminium wire cable arm is premium over the cheap OEM Honda one.* About the feeling of use, This clutch cover gives the engine a high performance premium look and does everything better then the OEM Honda clutch cover, a very worth while upgrade to have.* Products to buy together, If you are going to go to the expense of purchasing this clutch cover you will be wanting the benefits an oil cooler brings, SP Takegawa have many different kits to suit your desired positioning and type of oil lines you wish to use.* Difficulty of installation, This install requires access by removing other parts like the rearset and exhaust and special tooling to complete the job. The process was completed in 120 minutes with some difficultly.* Cost performance and comparison with other products, A well priced part for the extras it adds to the Monkey 125 and the only one to buy in my opinion but Kitaco do also sell an upgraded clutch cover at a slightly cheaper price.* About shipping and packaging, I am happy to wait 6 weeks on average for my parts to arrive in Sydney Australia via Webike's sea freight which comes with tracking and insurance so I know I'm covered in case something was to go wrong but with there outstanding bubble wrapping and boxing there have been no problems.* Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing, The manufactures of these special clutch covers to state they are only to be used with a down style exhaust but if you have an up style exhaust there is a chance it may still work for you. Mast for oil cooler installation
This product solves many problems at once when installing Oil cooler.
I was thinking about all kinds of things, such as the outlet and the Thermostat attachment, and this product solved it all at once.
Note that changing the oil filter from a centrifugal type to a cartridge type also structurally reduces the flywheel effect in the engine.
There are various spec. available, but I have chosen a combination according to NORMAL with wet & wire drive.
The clutch cable is different from that of the NORMAL model, so the half-clutch seems to have a few quirks.
I thought that I should have chosen the hydraulic type. I thought that I should have chosen the hydraulic type, but … it was a later mistake.
Also, as is common with Mukawa products, the quality of the rubber parts is not up to par …The cover of the adjustment part of the clutch wire is already cracked.
