Unlike other parts, some parts of the sprocket must be faithful to the standard, while other parts can be freely designed and manufactured.
In other words, it is a challenging part that requires a good sense of design and processing technology to see how much originality can be put into the restrictions.
Because of the challenge, the sprocket was the first part that ISA made, and the sprocket of super duralumin machined sprocket is still the one that we are most interested in, and the one that we are working on to improve the quality through continuous improvement of design and manufacturing process.

All of these are the result of meeting the stringent standards imposed by the ISA itself on sprockets designed specifically for motorcycles, not for general mechanical parts.
At ISA, considering the performance required for motorcycle sprockets to be "accuracy, strength, and wear resistance", and by adopting the best processing technology, materials, and treatment methods for each of these, we have been able to produce high quality, high performance products that overturn the common sense of sprockets as common mechanical parts.


[Unique manufacturing process for performance]
NC machine tools are used for machining, which determines accuracy, and errors are eliminated by sequential processes.
Made of selective materials, succh as super duralumin and 50μm thick hard anodized aluminum.

It is now a matter of course to use super duralumin for the sprocket material, which is light in weight, strong in strength, and has high shape stability against high-precision machining.
However, ISA is not satisfied with this, and with the cooperation of the material manufacturer, uses plates of a thickness not included in the regular lineup and reduces the amount of cutting, thereby reducing the possibility of distortion.
This eliminates the waste of processing time and materials, and achieves both high quality and reasonable price.
In the machining of sprockets, it is relatively easy to improve the accuracy of the dimensions and shape of the part of the tooth that contacts the chain.
What matters more is the location and diameter of the center hole and bolt holes.
No matter how precise the tooth profile is, it is meaningless if the attachment part is misaligned.
There are many stock parts and aftermarket products that do not take this point into consideration.
It is a common story that when you are checking the space of the chain, you find that the uneven extension is actually caused by the eccentricity of the sprocket.
In order to solve this problem, ISA has succeeded in dramatically improving not only the accuracy of each machined part but also the dimensional accuracy between them by eliminating misalignment as much as possible and making the process continuous.
In addition, the tolerance of the center hole and the bolt hole is kept as small as possible to minimize the eccentricity during installation.
The results of these pursuits can be seen in the absorbent fit when worn.
The surface is anodized with 50 microns of hard anodized aluminum to increase wear resistance and enhance the beauty of the machining process.
For off-road vehicles, longitudinal grooves have been added to the bottom of the teeth to prevent foreign objects from biting into the teeth and to discharge them.
The feeling of high quality when you touch it will be further confirmed by the high precision that you can see at the time of installation and the high wear resistance that you can see with continuous use.
