Compound
In the center part, we adopted a combination of ultra fine particles of silica with increased blending ratio, a flow inhibitor to improve the waist feeling of the rubber (solid feeling), and a grip-wear compatibility compound blended with a high molecular weight polymer. Moreover, the grip performance at full bank was improved by adopting the new development compound which blended the race carbon in the shoulder part of the Z range.
α-13Z: MT5 (5-Division multiple Tread structure) is used for rear tires. The high grip area of the shoulder part expands by adopting the new development compound, and the corner ring grip performance which approaches the racing tire, and the center part has both the high grip performance and the life performance.
α-13h: MT3 (3-Division multiple Tread structure) is used for rear tires. In the center, we adopted a new compound that approximately the grip and abrasion compatibility compound, and doubled the grip enhancing agent to the shoulder part, and doubled the high grip area approximately. This greatly improves grip performance and life performance.

Pattern
A common pattern is adopted for the Z Range/H range.
By reducing the amount of grooves by 3% compared with α-12, the total maximum land ratio (97%) is achieved and the grip performance is improved significantly.
The pattern tuning ensures adequate wet performance.
