My local Suzuki dealer (that has many V-Stroms on the showroom floor like mine) wanted to charge me an exorbitant price for these plugs. They didn't even have any in stock. I changed it after 8,000km since I bought a new car, and I think the corner is a little smoother. It's not so expensive. The front bank of the SV is not easy to change, but if you move the Radiator down, you can change it somehow. The tightening torque is 10Nm so you need to be careful as the torque is quite weak.View Detail

good point Because it is an OEM Plug, it is safe, because it is a proper Plug developed by Manufacturer.
The Engine works beautifully from bottom to top. The point is just to change it Small often.

I replaced it after 20,000 miles on the MOTO DXPlug, as I felt it was getting more and more misfires. The Standard Plug BP5HA before the MOTO DX was replaced at about 20,000 miles for the same reason. The V-Strom 650 is a two-cylinder and has four plugs. Considering the cost performance, I feel that the Standard Plug BP5HA is sufficient.
